Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The policy has been updated to:



- include a definition of mandatory reporter and the obligations of mandatory reporters

to report any allegation or suspicion of child abuse, child neglect or child exploitation

directly to the relevant state child protection agency (new clauses 6(f), and 27);

- strengthen the University's policy position in relation to the role of the University

community's collective role in putting into practice the principles outlined in the policy

(new clauses 7-10);

- include clauses setting out the University's obligations to external agencies (new

clauses 21-22); and

- make editorial changes, such as capitlising all defined terms.
