Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The Policy has undergone a comprehensive review. Key changes are:

* Policy name change â€" to reflect current terminology. â€~Advanced Standing’ is not a commonly used or understood term.
* Reference to support compliance with Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021
* Content relating to procedures/business processes has been removed. Information on how RPL applications are assessed or how the University develops articulation arrangements will be detailed in new supporting procedures. Information for students on how to apply for RPL will be made available on appropriate webpages.
* Removing content that was tied to the University’s admission processes.
* Expanded section on quality assurance measure
* Clarify on roles and responsibilities with a comprehensive table added.

No changes have been made to the amount of credit the University will award. However, these are now framed as minimum requirements for study at SCU. Previously they were presented as the maximum amounts of credit that SCU would award.
