Summary of Changes from Previous Version

09.09.2021: Clause (31) amended to update approval authority regarding third party accommodation providers to Vice President (Operations). Approved as a minor amendment by Director, Governance Services in accordance with the Delegation Rule. 


27.04.2021 – Clause (31) amended to update approval authority regarding third party accommodation providers to Chief International Officer. Approved as a minor amendment by Director, Governance Services in accordance with the Delegation Rule. 


The policy was amended to ensure compliance with the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education

and Training to Overseas Student 2018. The main changes included:

- Increased focus on age and culturally appropriate information that is provided to younger students,

including assistance in circumstances of sexual, physical or other abuse.

- Additional detail in relation to when the University can no longer approve a welfare arrangement,

including what happens in critical incidents.

- Additional requirement to maintain up to date records of student's parents, legal guardians contact

details

- A new section on Third Party Provision - the third party provider that provides the homestay

service. Under the old policy, this was not included because historically this was provided by a

combination of university homestay and third party.
