Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The following amendments have been made:

- the grounds on which the Chair can reject an appeal have been revised to: the appeal is deemed to be frivolous or vexatious; and/or the academic decision seems to the Chair to have been properly taken and the student has not presented sufficient evidence to justify further consideration of the appeal.

- Clause 11 has been amended to clarify that the Chair may request additional information from a student prior to making a determination as to whether the appeal will be rejected or progress to a hearing by the Committee.

- Clause 24 has been amended to clarify that the Committee will either uphold or quash the original decision against which the student is appealing. In addition, and regardless of the decision to uphold or quash, the Committee may make a recommendation to the School/College to review its processes.
