Summary of Changes from Previous Version

14.12.2023: Policy rescinded by Academic Board, following the approval of amendments relating to honours courses in the following policies: Definitions (Academic) Policy, Curriculum Policy, Student Academic Experience Policy, Assessment Teaching and Learning Procedures, Rule 2 –Coursework Awards.

01.09.2021: Unit Information Guide replaced with Unit Outline, clause (29). Approved by Director, Governance Services as a minor amendment following Academic Board rescission of the Unit Information Guide Procedure on 22 July 2021, with rescission to be effective from 1 September 2021.

15.02.2021: Terminology updated to be consistent with organisational restructure (Faculties). Approved as minor amendment by Head, Governance Services in accordance with Governance Document Rule.

This amendment brings together guidance for the development of

all SCU Honours Courses, beyond the previous consideration of

one year honours courses alone.
